A Rasin in the Sun

There are a couple of themes and symbols in the play a Rasin in the sun. Lorraine Hansbery used symbols like the plant, and walter could be considered a symbol also. Thre were a couple themes but I chose the one keep moving forward.  No matter what happend they kept moving on.
To me the plant was a symbol of life. It is like the the plant didnt die out because the family was still holding on. The plant looked like it was struggling and so did the family. Later on they ended up moving into a bigger house and brought the plant with them. We can safety asume that they put the plant in a bigger pot or garden
Walter could be considered a symbol of manhood. A boy turning into a man. Walter had a bunch of over night schemes and plans to get rich fast. What he wasent doing was looking at the big picture, witch in his case was becoming a man and taking care of his family. At the end of the movie you can tell he turns into a man because of the choices he starts making.
Through everything life throw at them they kept moving forward, and I think that was one of the themes in this play. When Walter made a bad investment and lost all 6000 dollars they didnt dwell on that for long. Instead they moved on and moved in to the new house not knowing how they were going to pay the bills. I would say Walter is a man not because nof who he is but because of the choices he makes.
The play a Rasin in the Sun had a couple of symbols that stood for different things. Also there were a couple of themes. The plant wich represented life, Walter represened manhood, ect. No matter what they kept moving forward. Thats everything in a summary.

The Devil and Tom Walker Inferences

In the story The Devil and Tom Walker there are many inferences. To start off I think Tom was in his early 50`s and his wife was too. I think that Tom`s wife was a theif. Quote "Whatever the woman could lay hands on she hid away". In the house I believe no one has ever used the chimney.  "No smoke ever curled from  it's chimney". Tom Walker was a very nosie guy.  "Her husband was continually prying about to detect her secret hoards". I believe that the treasure was once owned by a man named Crowninshield. "He recollected a mighty rich man of that name".
Tom was not scared of the devil. "He did not even fear the devil".
The man that went went by the name of old scratch you can infer was the devil. "He totally disappeared". You can infer that the devil killed his wife or had something to do with it. "He even felt something like gratitude towards the black woodsman, who he considered it a kindness".
He was talking about the devil because you can infer the devil killed his wife. Tom cared very little for his wife. The author also said that Tom consoled himself for the loss of his property with the loss of his wife.

Little Red Riding Hood

I think that this story has a couple of themes. For one Everything's not what it seems.
You can't always trust people. Always take a second look. I think that the author is trying to tell us that if you have a job to do, do it and stay on task. as you can see when she gets off task everything goes wrong and she runs into the wolf. If she would have did what she was told then none of that would have happend. So I would say the main theme is to not trust strangers.
